A new Russian IL-114-300 aircraft

The new Il-114-300 made its maiden flight on December 16, 2020 from Zhukovsky Airfield near Moscow.

The Ilyushin Il-114 (Russian Илью́шин Ил-114) is a Russian twin-engine turboprop airliner designed for local routes.

This model will carry 68 passengers, with a range of 2,000 km. It is built entirely of domestic parts.

The aircraft is fitted with two domestic TV7-117ST-01 engines, built by the the Klimov Aircraft Engine corporation of Saint-Petersbourg, with an improved takeoff thrust of 3100 hp.

The aircraft is designed by the IIyushin Aircraft company that was founded in 1933.

Within 80 years, the Bureau developed over 200 various aircraft modifications, and saw 120 going into production. Throughout the Ilyushin Design Bureau existence, production facilities manufactured over 60,000 IL branded airplanes. They feature simple design, high reliability, long lifetime, ease of handling and low maintenance.

Bomber, ground-attack aircraft, military airlifters and special-purpose aircraft were built for the Air Force of the country. The legendary ground-attack aircraft IL-2 and IL-10 and long-range bombers IL-4, constituting over 30% of the entire military fleet, made a considerable contribution to the victory in the World War II.

In post-war years, IL-28 became the first mass-produced jet bomber for the Air Force.

The entire history of Russian passenger aircraft development is traceable in the Ilyushin Design Bureau.

Today, ILYUSHIN is focused on design of cargo carriers and military airlifters. The ILYUSHIN team constantly cooperates with the leading manufacturers of aircraft components, R&D institutes and major air companies, and performs the entire set of activities related to design, modernization, preparation, support of aircraft production, and continues airworthiness of the earlier-produced ILYUSHIN aircraft.
