Turkey created a device to detect coronavirus in ten seconds

The principle of the Diagnovir device is not based on sample replication, but on optical properties. For testing, a sample from the oral mucosae is mixed with a special solution and placed in the device.
"Pathogens are detected within ten seconds by dynamically receiving a fluorescent signal. The process is carried out through a pathogen detection chip designed specifically for the biosensor," the researchers explain.
During preclinical studies, the device showed 99 percent efficiency in detecting coronavirus, the report said.
