Eat like a president: what Vladimir Putin eats

Vladimir Vladimirovich himself is not too willing to talk about his gastronomic preferences: I eat whatever they give me, he says. But the journalists still managed to find out a thing or two.

It is also known that the head of state has very little free time; it is not always possible to even have lunch. In this case, Putin drinks kefir and eats fruit.

There is information that Putin loves fresh vegetables and fish the best. On his table there are always tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, pickled and salted mushrooms, pike perch and pike fish soup, main dishes from trout, salmon, fish pies. During the lent, the president uses lean fish, cereals, legumes, nuts. The meats he prefers are veal and lamb.

Vladimir Vladimirovich tries to exclude fatty and fried foods. He eats little sweets - although on occasion, he cannot resist ice cream.

As to drinks, they are good expensive wines and, in very small quantities, cognac. If he has to have vodka, its never more than two shots. In an informal setting, he can have a glass of beer - he fell in love with it way back then working in Germany. Everyone who has had a chance to sit at the same table with Putin claims that he is practically always stays away from alcohol.

Like many Russians, the president,  has hot cereal for breakfast. But not oatmeal - rice, millet, buckwheat are in favor. And also natural honey and cottage cheese. Drinks are black tea or herbal infusions, decoctions, freshly squeezed juices. He doesn't drink coffee at all.

Of course, the Russian president often has to dine outside the home. He has traveled to many countries and cities                                                                                     and everywhere he notes the dishes he
likes and eats them with pleasure.

So, in Tatarstan, Putin eats belyashi, echpochmaks and chak-chak, in Karelia - Ossetian pies and Karelian kalitki, in Krasnodar - Kuban borscht, local tomatoes and bacon.
When Overseas, the president also prefers vegetables, seafood, coconut milk, ice cream, tropical fruits.

In short, Putin's diet is practically an example of proper nutrition. Not a bad example to follow!
